Should I turn left or right? flip the coin. (November 2020) is a drawing series, a documentation of my psychogeographical walk in Reading. A walk with my camera and a coin. The idea was to experience the place I live in outside my daily, purposeful walk. This time, it was just a coin that guided me in the neighbourhood.

In this work, the city and my inner voice combined. I have decided to work on this storyboard like drawing series. Inspired by the artist Duane Michals and his usage of photography with text, helped me with the narrative of my storyboard like drawing series. I have also inspired by Vito Acconci's Following Piece (1969) and Blinks (1969) and Sophie Calle's Suite Venitienne (1980) with the way they follow strangers and investigate their private lives with their photographic works. Calle's work also includes panels of the text of her writing.
